We’ll be learning conversational American Sign Language skills in this ASL 1 course. Fundamentals like basic vocabulary, grammar, fingerspelling, and numbers (as well as history and Deaf culture) are woven into a “frequency of use” teaching approach based on curriculum from university professor Bill Vicars. You’ll be able to have real life conversations faster as you learn this visual-gestural language in class.
